We loved Mary. She was great with the kids and so informative! Request Mary for any tour. She takes care of everything and asked great questions during the tour for the kids

Sometimes when you read a review, you are not sure if it’s fake. But after this trip, I can assure you that what you are reading is all true! Simply amazing! We had the pleasure of having Nour (tour guide) and George (driver) and words cannot describe how wonderful they were!
We were picked up promptly on day one at our hotel with water for our day. Nour is such an incredibly sweet person. And George, well I have to say he is the best driver….EVER! The way he navigated the streets of Cairo was flawless. We were so happy to be able to sit back and enjoy the sites without having to worry. Nour described so many things along the way to the pyramids.
Upon arriving, Nour took charge! She showed us all the amazing sites. Told us all about the history. And helped us take the BEST photos. You know, all the fun touristy ones. We were able to stay as long as we wanted at every site. And if there was something that we didn’t want to do, no problem! It was OUR trip to enjoy.
Our next day was to the Egyptian Museum and Antiquity and to stroll in the markets. Once again, Nour was so knowledgeable. She showed us around the museum and told us all of the beautiful Egyptian history. The highlight of the day was seeing King Tut mask and artifacts from his tomb. Simply amazing. Then we headed to the bazaar. And again, Nour took charge and whisked us around the market place. Never once did we have to deal with haggling or the people trying to get you to buy things. She took such good care of us.
One of the things on my list to do in Egypt was to try hookah! And George knew just where to take me! We loved every minute of it. And the best part of all it, was how safe and thankful we were. George and Nour became like part of our family in just a few short days. I will never forget how welcomed and safe they made us feel.
I am so looking forward to tomorrow and the sights in Alexandria. I know it is going to be amazing with our new friends Nour and George.

The guide and driver...

The guide and driver (Mary and Housam) were great, the vehicle was clean and comfortable. The tour was also wonderful. Two issues came up which were not the fault of the guide or driver. 1) The Viator site presented this as an “all inclusive” tour there were several attractions that had entrance fees that were not included , and the cost rose quickly as a result. Fortunately we travelled off season so the waits were not overly long, however had this been during the high season, this would have cut into touring time for those who are on limited time schedules, 2) The Fish Market Restaurant in Alexandria was a big disappointment. The service was extremely poor despite the best efforts of our guide and driver. The seafood pasta dish presented on the menu was not even close to the picture and did not have much seafood in it. One of my party ended up with food poisoning and remained ill for the duration of the trip.
