We were actually very grateful to have gone in July. Yes, it is perishing hot, we were glad to have only 100 approx tourists in each of the tombs with us, as there was no jostling for photo ops, and plenty of time to view everything. That's the plus side of coming in the heat. We enjoyed the hot air balloon and abu simbel too , we will get back
