This tour was well rounded, it led with food but included so much more. The food was amazing!!

I don’t know where to start - this has been SO fantastic! As a solo female traveller for the day Amira just made my trip! It was as if I was roaming around with a friend. We did a fantastic breakfast , with a view of the pyramids. As we were speaking she found out I was interested in history and changed the plan to suit what I wanted to do. We went and saw Coptic Cairo and a fascinating alternative Cairo by going to the St Simon monastery. The car became a bit of a party vehicle with some of the best Egyptian music . As a PHd in hieroglyphics Amira was great with historical facts and local anecdotes. She is part of the Egypt royal tours- which is run by the “Sugar Queen” - yes you heard me right - first of her kind businesswoman who runs amazing tours and has female guides . Yes we did a few of the Egyptian usuals like buying some cotton (Nike cotton), quite a good papyrus place ( Egypt papyrus institute - much better than the others I had seen ) - but what was great was no pressure to buy and I got some really cool souvenirs. We ended the day on a Felucca and I feel like I have spent the day with friends. Thank you Amira and the sugar queen - I loved the proper local experience . I did many tours but this one was something else. Totally recommend and I will be coming back!
P.s - they even gifted me a papyrus with my name in hieroglyphics- what a classy touch!
Yummy food in Cairo

We went on a food tour on our second day in Giza. Amira was our guide and she was wonderful! Since we did a similar tour the day before this one, Amira was able to adjust our schedule so we did not have to go experience the same things twice. The food was yummy and the service was good at both restaurants. Expect to learn about the food, but also be aware that you will be going to other places like the papyrus museum, bazaar, and oils where you are able to buy goods(if you want). Overall, I had a pleasant experience and Amira was a great guide who treated us like family!

The experience was excellent with our tour guide Amira and the driver was very capable on the streets. We started with the breakfast but went to the incense shop and paper art shop afterward. We didn’t realize that many of these tours are the same in this regard with shops being included on the tour. We found valuable items for gifts to buy from these shops in some cases, but in others, we did feel pressured to buy things we were slightly interested in but not budgeted for. Overall the experience on this tour was very good, but our tour guide should receive 5 stars because of her efforts guiding us.

Had a very good day with my guide and his driver, they were both very friendly and helpful, especially as I was a solo female traveller and it was my first day in Cairo.
