What To Expect

Pyramids of Giza

Your air-conditioned private car will collect you from your Hotel to start this classic Cairo tour. Your personal guide, a qualified Egyptologist, will accompany you on the short drive out to the Giza pyramids. Marvel at the three major pyramids: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, and the two pyramids built by Khafre and Menkaure. You'll then head to a viewpoint for panoramic views of all nine pyramids of Giza silhouetted against the desert sands.

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids

Still at Giza, you'll admire the Sphinx, the vast half-lion, half-human statue still standing after almost 3,500 years, before hopping into the car for another short drive to Saqqara. This expansive necropolis was the cemetery for the city of Memphis for thousands of years. Here you'll be able to see the oldest pyramid in Egypt, the Pyramid of Djoser, and marvel at the stunning art and carvings in the tombs of the nobles: your guide will explain the meaning of the scenes.

Our tour guide, Ahmed Elsayed, gave us a thorough and excellent tour of the pyramids.
He took us to all the best photo spots, and was very accommodating to our requests. He also gave us insight and opinions concerning other aspects of our Egypt trip yet to come. We highly recommend him.

We really enjoyed the private tour with Ahmed Elsayed and our dedicated driver. We booked the tour one day prior and got contacted the evening before to clarify pickup and time. We learned a lot and any question we had was answered in a good manner. The lunch was tasty and at a clean and welcoming restaurant. We saw all that was promised and we could take enough time to take pictures ☺️

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Ahmed Elsayed, with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had one great day here at Cairo, which obviously also added up to the experience.
