Two trips - plane to Cairo and one day to Luxor private
ianr685, 25-08-2022
Manolo Tours is run by Mohammed. He arranged two trips for our family, one to Cairo by plane and one to Luxor by private minibus.

Important point Mohammed - booked internal flights after chatting to him via WhatsApp in Uk, before we left. I only paid him on the day of the tour, so this element of trust that was invested in me, paying him after he paid the flights in advance is worth noting.

He is super attentive on WhatsApp and by phone. Genuinely likeable guy.

Hany our guide in Cairo knows everyone from the parking attendent women to camel riding hands. He’s owns a lovely 4x4 and it’s clear he’s a well respected by his peers.

Ahmed the guide took us round Valley of Kings Karnock, and a different Mohammed (Egypt has lots of Mohammed !) drove us from Hurgada. Great road and stunning scenery, new huge minivan stocked with drinks and snacks, but the van needs an icebox. Both guide and driver were brilliant though, and again both guys couldn’t do enough for you.

Their business philosophy is simple: do the best job humanly possible and hope Tripadvisor likes what they do. It works, - they’re brilliant, trust the reviews and use this company.
Excellent day in Luxor from Hurghada

Our tour started at 5AM in Hurghada. Our private driver Mohamed was already waiting for us in the lobby. Since the transfer to Luxor takes about 4 hours, he prepared a bag of goodies for us (snacks and beverages). He drove safe reliable and when we had some questions, he always kindly explained everything.

After arriving to Luxor, our private guide Adele, jumped into the car and our tour officially started. While we where going to our first site (Karnak temple) he introduced us to Luxor as a region and to its people. In Karnak temple he told us about the temple's history, myths, jokes and even showed us how to read hieroglyphs. When we were done, we have crossed the Nile via boat and took us to a local rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view to the Nile and the city. After that we did a short stop at the Alabaster factory (very funny people with a little surprise show). In the Valley of the Kings, the basic ticket covers visiting only three tombs, but our guide picked us the three best ones which are worth visiting the most, and always explained us what to look for in the tomb, what is the story behind the paintings. The next was the temple of Hatshepsut and the statues of Memnon where we took the last few pictures. We dropped off our guide, and went to the long trip back to Hurghada.

All together it was a very pleasant and educative experience which I warmly recommend to anyone planning to visit Luxor and it's ancient wonders.
Great day out to see Egypt's past

Had a super day seeing the sights of Luxor. Drive was very comfortable and safe experience. My guide was full of information and I learned a lot. Seeing all the tombs and temples on TV in the past, it was great to see in person. The only down side was feeling pressured in to buying in the additional stops. One reason I chose this private tour was so I would hopefully avoid the pressure. But saying that a great way to see a lot and not be stuck in a bus.
Many thanks
All of the Archaeology...

Unique and amazing experience with Manolo

We had an amazing time during the tour. Mahmoud from the agency organized everything for us and took into consideration all our wishes. He's very available, he stayed in touch with us all along the trip to make sure everything goes well. He's a friendly, welcoming, listening and thoughtful person who made sure we feel safe, comfortable and have everything we need

The Hurghada/Luxor transportation was on a comfy private car with airconditioning and a private English speaking driver. It took about 3h30/4h ride, with a few stops to go to toilet. The driver Mohamed was nice, kind and a very professional driver, the road trip was safe. Mahmoud of the agency did all the formalities for us (authorization from the tourist police to travel) before our trip

At Luxor, Abdullah a local French and English speaking guide joined us. He stayed with us all day, took us to many amazing and historical places, answered all our questions about ancient Egypt and shared with us historical facts and stories with passion and positive vibes

The trip also includes the entrance tickets to the chosen monuments, lunch at a local restaurant (the soup was yummy!) and a boat ride over the Nil river

We also asked for a hot air balloon ride to see Luxor at sunrise from the sky (all the monuments, the Nile river...etc). It's an extra, outside the tour. Mahmoud managed to offer us the balloon ride for a very good price compared to what we can get by ourselves. The ride was wonderful and totally worth it

Thank you Mahmoud for everything, you made our stay unique and amazing, we really enjoyed it!

If you are interested in this trip, don't hesitate to contact the agency or Mahmoud, they offer great service, reliability and hospitality, we 100% recommend it to you
