Great Experience!

Hany, who runs the tour, was excellent & very helpful. We were picked up by a private car (may have been because it was just the two of us) which had union jack covers on the head rests (may have been a coincidence but we liked that!) We were driven to Luxor by two lovely guys then on to Aswan by a different lovely driver! They even picked us up drinks & snacks along the way! We stopped whenever we wanted for toilets & refreshments. On arriving, he took us onto the ship & helped us to check in at reception. Our room was great & it was amazing to watch the Nile out the window! The temple stops were really interesting & the guides were excellent. The highlight of our trip was definitely the hot air balloon ride. Our pilot was great at his job & well informed on the local history. The sunrise is breathtaking & you can see Valley of the Kings & Hatsheput Temple. The trip to the Valley of the Kings was intriguing - if you want to visit Tutankhamun's tomb, make sure you tell the guide. It's a little bit extra but well worth it! Wherever you go out there, there are local people who try to show you round, point out different things, tell you information (It's not always correct!) & then expect money from you! They can be VERY persistent so just keep saying no thank you & don't follow them. Our tour guide for the Valley of the Kings, Gigi, was very informative & helpful. Luxor is a painfully expensive place for lunch so make sure you know exactly how much it'll be before you go in - or go to McDonald's! Gigi bought our bus tickets back to Hurghada & made sure we got on. There was a driver waiting for us at Hurghada bus station when the bus arrived. Well worth the money!
