Great experience!

My sister and I did the 4 day/ 3 night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor - leaving from El Gouna. It was a whirlwind tour of all the sights.

Day 1 El Gouna to Aswan
Drove for approx 9 hours. Lots of check points and a few toilet stops on the way. Driving through the desert is awesome. The roads are virtually empty so the drivers go very fast. We arrived in Aswan and picked up our guide Mohammed - who bought us packed lunches that the boat had prepared for us. We then made our way to Philae Island by boat - this was magical!

We then paid extra to go and visit the Nubian village by boat - highly recommend this as it’s beautiful and fun!

After a very long day of travelling and sight seeing we made it back to our boat, the Princess Sarah and found our cabin. Because it was Xmas eve they had a turkey buffet for those who eat meat. There are veggie options too. Drinks are not included in the package so you will need to pay for those!

Day 2 - Aswan, Abu Simbel, Aswan High Dam
04:30 start - yes sorry but you won’t get much sleep on the cruise! The boat gives you a packed lunch and a packed breakfast for the early starts.
It’s a 3 hour drive to Abu Simbel from the boat. It’s a wonderful temple! Remember to have small change on you for the toilets at the temple - 5 Egyptian pounds should do. 3 hour drive back and a stop off at the magnificent Aswan High Dam. Back on the boat to set sail for the next destination of Kom Ombo - where we visited the temple at night. We met our new guide when we arrived at Kom Ombo. All guides meet you at reception on the boat - so don't worry, they find you!

Kom Ombo temple was cool. I especially liked the well that measured taxes - look out for it! After a quick tour around the temple we got back on the boat for dinner and we set sail over night to Luxor.

We arrived at Luxor approximately 5pm where our next guide - Hoda, met us for a tour of Luxor temple. Hoda was a burst of energy and I highly recommend asking for her! She's very chatty and knowledgeable and will bring a smile to your face!

There's so much more I could say about this tour but I will stop here. You will get hassled to buy things and expect to tip everyone you meet - driver, guide, waiting staff etc. We tipped our guides and forces from 100-300 Egyptian Pounds. Also you won't get away from people trying to sell you things on the boat - men in little boats attach themselves to your boat and ride along with you!

We used El Gouna tours twice on our two week holiday and we highly recommend! P.s WhatsApp is a normal form of communication here when organising tours.
3 night / 4 day Nile Cruise - Aswan - Luxor
Sandra M, 30-12-2021
My sister and I visited Egypt in December 2021 and took the 3 night / 4 day Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor.

This was an awesome way to see many of the sights and the itinerary was certainly busy.

The cruise ship, The Princess Sara 2, was fine, not super luxury but the view from the cabin was beautiful.

We had an incredible guide, Huda, who took us through Luxor. She really made the trip for us and felt so safe in her care. She was so knowledgeable and made the sights fun. She was definitely a highlight of our trip!
Wonderful Egypt with Marsa Alam Tours

Absolutely brilliant! Expert guides and a well planned itinerary. You choose your category or cruise ship rather than something being forced upon you. Transparent in cost and nothing extra expected. You may choose to tip the guides which is well appreciated.
Amazing Nile Cruise with transfer from Marsa Alam airport
RosOki, 22-09-2019
The tour organization by Ahmed of Marsa Alam Tours was perfect. Upon arrival at Marsa Alam airport early in the morning we met 2 drivers waiting for us. The travel to Aswan was very long, anyway the van was comfortable and the kids slept the most of the time. In Aswan we have been welcomed by Hares, our private guide who speaks Italian very well. Hares is a very nice person and a passionate expert of Ancient Egypt history and mythology that was always available to satisfy our curiosities. First thing we left our luggages and had lunch on the boat, the classic and charming Royal Princess. We got 2 rooms connected each other, so we could stay close to our children while still keeping our privacy. Then we finally started our 3 days visit in this fascinating region so rich of temple, tombs and nice people that from now on will be part of our memories. Life on boat is also very nice, cabin crew is easygoing and food is good, the terrace always offers a very relaxing and fresh view of the Nile. Thank you Marsa Alam Tours, this is a travel we will bring in our hearts forever.
Well organised visit
