What To Expect

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your tour in Alexandria. First visit the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock.

Then you will drive to visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria with the display of the sunken monuments of Alexandria which were discovered under the East harbor of Alexandria.

Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral

The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa. Through your drive you will see the old downtown and the local historical architecture which has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.

Mamoura Beach

The car will then take you to Mamoura Beach Resort is located east of Montaza's royal gardens. walking along the corniche of Maamourah is a nice walk .
It is considered one of the main tourist attractions in Alexandria for its beach, Corniche walk and parks.

On your way back you will stop over the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, built by Alexander the great, then travel in comfort back to your hotel in Alexandria.

Rania our tour guide was the favourite part of our tour! She was knowledgeable, very good English and friendly. She recommended we do the catacombs and we're so pleased she did - they were a highlight. We couldn't recommend her more highly.

Spend a day with Eriny of Rammaside in Alexandria, Egypt.

We had a lovely variety tour of Alexandria, from Old Town to New with Eriny from Rammaside Tours. We especially enjoyed the Catacombs, never saw any so extensive, the Roman Theater, seeing ruins and “The Villa of the Birds”-home so much like the town houses at Ephesus, and the Library of Alexander, including: antiquities, art, ancient manuscripts, and a room dedicated to Anwar Sadat.
We opted for the Egyptian Lunch at a local restaurant; you would never be able to do that with a larger group.
Check their list for all the places you will drive by and/or stop at.
Eriny made each place come to life, providing informative stories without overloading your mind. She answered questions carefully. She did not lose her cool when the local security created a 45 minute delay in leaving the port area. As soon as the van was released, she was ready to start out tour, with our super driver who maneuvered through the thick traffic.
If you have an extra day in Alexandria, or,like us, have already seen the usual tourist attractions, contact Rammaside, and ask for Eriny. You will not be sorry. We would have been happy to join her for another day of touring.

This was an excellent experience. The tourist guide was a nice person with very good manners, very kind, excellent presentation and the best, the authenticity and perfect knowledge about the history of the City. I had a great time. This tour over exceeded my expectations.
