The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
One of the world’s most important collections of ancient artefacts, the Egyptian Museum takes pride of place in Downtown Cairo, on the north side of Midan Tahrir. Inside the great domed, oddly pinkish building, the glittering treasures of Tutankhamun and other great pharaohs lie alongside the grave goods, mummies, jewellery, eating bowls and toys of Egyptians whose names are lost to history.

To walk around the museum is to embark on an adventure through time.

Liberation Square (Midan El-Tahreer)
Midan Tahrir (Liberation Sq) gained world renown in early 2011, when millions of Egyptians converged here to oust then-president Hosni Mubarak. On a regular day, it’s just your average giant roundabout (traffic circle), albeit one where half-a-dozen major arteries converge. The main reason you'll pass through is to visit the powder-pink puffball bulk of the Egyptian Museum.

Our tour guide was simply AMAZING. Door to door service with a smile. He made sure we were well taken care of; he was fun and knowledgeable. He shared all the background on everyplace we went and he took TONS of pictures for us and sent them to us. It was amazing but our guide made it spectacular
Great experience!!!

Ahmed was our guide and Yusuf was our driver. They both treated my husband and I like family. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history and was able to explain fine details in a very organized way. He also took great pictures and helped us haggle with the shopkeepers. Ahmed was so generous and hospitable that he even bought us street food. All in all, great experience and highly recommend

I had the best trip ever in Cairo. The pyramid tour was mind blowing, i could not believe my eyes are seeing the pyramids for real. The Egyptian museum was very educational, learnt Egyptian's past era's history, have seen the artifacts from 3,000 yrs ago! My tour guide Noha was very knowledgeable and helpful, she was great in sharing good stories about the pyramids and content of the museum. I learned a lot from her and from this tour. Highly recommended.

Cairo and Giza Pyramids tour

We were met at the airport by our guide Ola, she was very knowledgeable and guided us through the city of Cairo, the antiques museum and the Giza Pyramid complex. We enjoyed hearing about Egyptian history from ancient times to recent times, and we learned a lot. In particular, we like the amazing museum and the camel ride at the Pyramids. The lunch was included in the tour and the food was tasty typical Egyptian cuisine, with local band. We enjoyed the free time at the Khalil market. The driver Mena was very skillful in navigating Cairo traffic taking us back to the airport on time.
Great tour, fair price, friendly guide and driver
