Overview

One of the world's oldest Christian monasteries, a must-see for all historians. Because of its significance to three major religions, it has been designated a World Heritage Site. There is so much to see and do here, and because the monastery shuts everyday at 12 noon for prayers, an early start is required. A little reading before this trip is highly suggested to ensure that you make the most of your limited time here. As well as a little hiking to the summit of Mousses Mountain.
