Tomb of Merenptah
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, it began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor. Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of course, there is a material decrease in the number of lateral roots and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs.

Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers.

The tour guide knew a lot and could explain everything perfectly in english. we were picked up in a cooled car and brought back to the hotel. Mo always made sure that we felt good despite the 40 degrees. I definitely recommend this tour!

What a great choice! Dr. Mo was punctual, knowledgeable, and professional. It was like a college tour with your professor. He's very educated in this area and made it very interesting. I recommend this company.
Great Luxor Tour experience!

This is a full-day private sightseeing tour. Dr. Mo is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Be prepared to pay about 150 EGP (half price right now) to see King Tut, since that admission fee is not included. There is also a fee of 5 EGP to go on the go-carts in order to get to the a few of the sites, which is not bad. Altogether, have extra cash if you plan on purchasing souvenirs.

If you know that you don't have the cash to spend at the Alabaster store don't even go inside, that was the only downside to my trip. I overspent going into that store; that's on me. You can get the same items way cheaper at the local market area. I tested the same items at this other store near the local market under regular lighting, and it worked just the same.

It was also refreshing to be in an Air Conditioner car as well throughout the day because it's really hot outside. I would recommend you bring a Yeti water bottle or a similar version, so that you can keep your water cool throughout the day. It gets really hot in the summertime here in Egypt.
Overall, I enjoyed my trip, but next time I think I would go with a group instead of going alone. I did learn a lot about the Egyptian rich history, traditions, and culture. That is something I will cherish in my heart forever. I got a special gift during my visit as well, which was awesome.

I also highly recommend you book the hot air balloon ride with Dr. Mo as well. You’ll be picked up around 0330 from your hotel, but it's so worth it to watch the sunset from an aerial view, so cool. Ensure you get a breakfast-to-go box from your hotel if it's available.

Thank you Mo!
Dr Mo is the best! Amazing time throughout Luxor’s east and west banks

Dr Mo was incredibly knowledgable about all of the sites that we visited and answered all of our questions as they came up. He was an excellent tour guide and the experience came with our own private car and air conditioning (much needed!). I would highly recommend Dr Mo to anyone considering a tour in Luxor!
Excellent full day Luxor tour!

We had a fantastic tour with Dr Mo!! He was so knowledgeable since he is an actual Egyptologist! He provided fantastic explanations for all the sights we saw. We visited all the highlights on both the East and West bank, which was perfect since we just had one day in Luxor. We highly recommend this tour to see all the highlights in Luxor and learn about the rich history of Ancient Egypt!!
