Great guide!

It was very enlightening to go on this tour. Our guide Mahmoud Ismael was really great and I’m glad we got him — he was very friendly, passionate about the history, explained things well, answered all our questions, and solved some issues that came up. We were pleased to have him as our guide!

Our guide Esam was great! Very knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we got what we came for. Shepherded is in the bazaar afterwords as well and even got us a unique sugar cane drink. The tour itself was very informative and enlightening. Definitely worthwhile for westerners who don’t come into contact with Islam very much.
Amazing tour guide and the driver!

Had a great trip with my sister & the guide Mahmoud Anwar and driver Abraham, both so polite, gentelman, helpful and really high class! We have tried more guides in Cairo before but something always went wrong at the end while with Mahmoud Anwar and Abraham everything was great & easy!
We had the Nile boat tour one day & next time we have booked private day tour at Citadel and the Khalili market also requestinf them. Really great and the most important - not annoying! Really recommend them, I have recommended even for my friends in Egypt if they ever have guests and want to show around they are the best option!
Memorable experience

I enjoyed my tour of Islamic Cairo. My tour guide, Ahmed Hamed, was very knowledgeable and allowed me to choose what I wanted to see so, I chose the Citadel, Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, and Al-Rifa'i Mosque. It was a memorable experience; one I will not forget. I highly recommend Ahmed as a tour guide and Amr, the driver. They both made my day a pleasant one.
You must book with AHMED TONSI

Let me start by saying that me and my husband are AMERICAN. From the northeast. We have travelled all around the world, but this was our first time in Egypt.

He goes by TONSI. He service is excellent. His English is quite clear and he took a lot of time to explain the environment we travelled to. We spent the day going through old Cairo and the farmers row. This was a tremendous experience. The people we encountered did not have much but were very welcoming. TONSI was sure to translate every word and made us feel comfortable. He explained the history of the area and brought us to several great places to see crafts and meet the local people.

TONSI brought us to an excellent restaurant where they allowed my husband to prepare and cook the meal (with help). The food was AMAZING ! I have never had such flavorful food and the service was impeccable. TONSI ensures that we had enough to eat, and then we made another loop through the city to head back to the hotel. He stopped several times so that I could shop and even helped bargain for me to get the prices down. He was truly an amazing person throughout the whole day. Both my husband and I felt at home with him.

I know that tourism is a big business, but TONSI made us feel at home and we never felt like tourists. This day felt like we were driving around with a close friend that just moved here. We have spend time with several guides during our time here, but no one made me and my husband feel more at home than TONSI. His kind demeanor and thoughtfulness has been such a great addition to his professionalism and his thoroughness. He always sent us the pictures we took right away and he checked on us at the end of the day to make sure we didn’t need anything additional. In the US, we would say he has “GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND” to make sure we had everything, learned everything, and enjoyed every moment. My husband say that he and TONSI are boys now and that he will return soon just to hang out with him.

If you decide to come to Egypt, you must book your tours and events with TONSI. You will not be disappointed.
