We had a smooth pickup from Cairo international airport to our Airbnb. The guide who spoke English and the driver were very friendly. The next day morning we were picked by a new tour guide Essam and driver Mina. They toured us through National Museum, Civilization Museum and Cairo Tower. There were 9 of us including a senior citizen and 2 small children. Besides it was very hot and hence we had to limit to few places on Day 1. Essam also took us for a buffet lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant. The food was okay. The 2nd day we were picked up at 8 am for tour to the pyramids, sphinx and then we were back to the city for lunch. This time we did lunch on our own at LePacha by Nile river. It is a bit pricey but food was multi cuisine and fabulous. We found Essam very knowledgeable in Egyptian history and he was very patient with our group as we had to pause a lot due to the heat and travel tiredness. Both Essam and Mina went above and beyond our expectations in ensuring a safe, hassle free touring experience. Essam also advised on shopping so that we didnt end up overpaying. Overall a great Cairo and Giza tour.
My advice is to pick your restaurants for food and pay it yourselves. The best restaurants are in the city close to Nile river.
