Overview

Luxor by air is fast becoming as popular as Cairo. One of the main reasons for its popularity is that many tourists do not frequent Luxor as much as Cairo so you can guarantee the trip is more relaxed without the hustle and bustle that takes place especially when visiting Cairo and the airport is certainly not as hectic. it’s one of the trips that we cannot recommend highly enough. Luxor is a city in the Upper (southern) Egypt and the capital of Luxor Governorate. As the site of the Ancient Egyptian city of Thebes (the great capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom), Luxor has frequently been characterized as the "world's greatest open air museum", as the ruins of the temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor stand within the modern city. Immediately opposite, across the River Nile, lie the monuments, temples and tombs on the West Bank Necropolis, which include the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. Thousands of international tourists arrive annually to visit these monuments.
