Day trip to Cairo for the Pyramids
philip19482014, 05-11-2014
My wife and I booked a day tour to the Pyramids whilst our cruise ship was in Port Said . This tour was Emo's Program 2 which covers The Great Pyramids The Sphinx, The Step Pyramid of Sakkara and the Ancient Capital of Egypt ,Memphis where we saw the Colossal Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx .
We were met shortly after our 7 am docking time as agreed by our driver John and guide Osama with their air conditioned people carrier and formed a convoy (the normal method) for our journey to Cairo which took approx 3hours.
Osama gave an extensive commentary throughout the tour which gave a wonderful insight into the historical past of everything seen on our tour
The price was very competitive in comparison to cruise offers and include lunch in a restaurant facing the Sphinx and Pyramids which was amazing, all entrance fees and on board refreshments
We chose this trip which concentrated on the monuments without obligatory shopping visits
Osama made sure we had enough time and good locations for photos and also took fun photos for us which was great
The tour was most enjoyable and our thanks go to Osama and John for a great day out
Lastly thanks to Joseph at Emo headquarters for quick response via email to all our questions beforehand .
We have no hesitation in recommending Emo tours our enjoyment & safety was there priority
