One of the most memorable experiences I've had while travelling. Mohammed is an amazing guide who is very passionate about sharing the beauty of the desert.

The other reviews are right- amazing trip! We saw so much in a short period of time without feeling rushed. The food he cooked was amazing too! He also helped us arrange transport there and back and made sure we made it to the airport ok. He clearly loves what he does and cares about his clients. Also for the women out there: we were 2 female travelers and always felt very safe, no concerns at all.

A breathtakingly beautiful desert safari experience

100% one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Egypt. What an experience to go off-roading in a 4x4 across some beautiful scenic desert planes. The Black and White Deserts are one of the most unique places you’ll ever see. We felt like VIPs taking some routes that our expert host, Mohammed, knew so well (he learned from his father, who was one of the first guides in the area back in the day). We stopped at great locations for photos (which he helped take!) and brief historic/educational overviews of what we were seeing. Mohammed scouted for the perfect overnight spot in the White Desert, set up camp, cooked dinner for us and we enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep looking up at the breathtaking stars. The standard tour companies do not include desert safari options in their packages, but we are so very glad we went outside of our itinerary to do this. It may be a fair ride outside Cairo (but Mohammed arranged very efficient pick up and drop off from Marriott Mena House), but it is totally worth it. What made it even more special was his professionalism, kindness, and great company. You can feel and experience he cares deeply about his clients/guests. You are in the best, safest and most knowledgeable hands, from the moment Mohammed welcomes you to his family home with a authentic lunch before you set off on your overnight adventure, to the time you depart for Cairo the following day.

Absolutely incredible experience all around. Being a solo female traveler and first timer in Egypt I had some reservations going into this trip but Muhammad and his family put me right at ease as soon as I stepped into their beautiful garden patio. If you're thinking about taking this trip DO IT! The landscape in this area is absolutely mind blowing, feeling as if you just landed on another planet.
On top of being privileged enough to see this amazing place, I also had the great privilege of having Muhammad as my guide. His knowledge of the area runs deep, learning from his Bedouin ancestors and training with his father who was also a guide for many years. Having a good guide can really make or break your trip in this instance and I highly highly recommend going with Desert Safari.
I really could go on and on about how magical this experience is but I don't want to ruin all of the surprises for you - Book it!! ✨

We highly recommend this tour! The Black and White desert are one of the most beautiful places on earth! Our guide Mohammed was extremely welcoming, kind and masterful in navigating in the desert, setting up camp and cooking the best meals (dinner and breakfast). We will definitely do this again when we come back!!
