Overview

When your cruise ship is in Alexandria port, meet your guide and hop inside your private, air-conditioned minivan. Then, enjoy the views as you journey south through the Nile Valley to Cairo, Egypt’s bustling capital. On route, hear snippets about Cairo’s history and the Giza Pyramids.
After roughly three hours, arrive at the Giza Plateau and marvel at the exteriors of the UNESCO-listed main pyramids: Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. Hear the secrets of these ancient tombs and how and why they were constructed from your guide.
Then, descend to the feet of the Great Sphinx and learn about this mysterious human-headed lion sculpture. Capture photos and then stroll around the nearby Valley Temple, believed to have been part of the funerary and mummification complex for the pyramid of Chephren.
Afterward, join a camel caravan, and enjoy a roughly camel ride across the Saharan sands to the Sakkara Country Club hotel and resort. Here, absorb the resort's peaceful atmosphere and gardens.

If your going to do this tour make sure you ask for Tonsi, he went above and beyond to make sure this was an authentic amazing experience of a lifetime, I can’t thank him enough!!!

Tonsi was amazing and made us feel important. He taught us about everything we saw. He asked us our opinion on specific things that we wanted to see and made it the best experience ever! He took us to drink coffee to start the tour and his driver was always there to open our doors and let us into the air conditioned vehicle. There was enough room for us and we enjoyed our day very much!
Best! Tonsi Tosni was amazing tour guide

Our guide asked us what the best part of the trip was, “you were!” we replied. Tonsi, our guide, was amazing. He gave us a lot of good information for the sites we saw, answered all our questions, and was really easy to gel with. We were worried about getting a guide who was overbearing, but Tonsi let us do our thing and was there for us to teach us about the history as well.
Brilliant!

It was all incredible. The guide Mohamed Hamed was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the architecture of Sakkara and Giza. However, in my opinion the best bit was the lunch at the Valley of the Kings restaurant which was one of the best lunches I have ever had.
